Acute Care Visits

There is nothing worse than having a sick child, and we understand the stress and worry this can cause a family.   We know that you cannot predict when your child is going to get sick.  Therefore, we do our best to keep same-day appointments available on each working day.  We recommend you call early in the day if possible, so that we will have a better chance of providing you with an appointment time that works for you.  We try to get sick children in as quickly as possible, and we do our best to keep them with provider who knows them best.  Continuity of care is important, but of course all of our providers are able to see your child for most problems.   It may seem easier to just walk-in to our office, but please make every attempt to call first so we can schedule appropriately and minimize wait times.  We will always do our best to see all children in a timely manner.   If you would like us to see more than one child, please let us know when you schedule the appointment.

Appointments can be made by calling our office directly at (813) 961-2222 or requesting an appointment on the Patient Portal.   We realize that acute care clinics and telemedicine are tempting options, but we strongly feel that for continuity of care, it is best to see the pediatrician who knows your child best.
